'The Chariot Race' becomes a board game designed by primary school children in Hulme.

Primary school children from Hulme playing 'The Chariots of Doom' board gameYoung people at Webster Primary School have created ‘Chariots of Doom’, a board game based on Alexander von Wagner’s The Chariot Race.

Children work their way around the game by answering questions, creating stories, drawing pictures and much more. The game is part of the reading development resources available on the Reading Voyager mobile library.

The Reading Voyager is a mobile library just for children.  The library visits a variety of groups including schools, traveller sites, Looked after Children units and a hospice.

The game can also be played at Manchester Art Gallery in front of the real painting.
